The Mayor of Íllora, Antonio Salazar, announced the XXXV Parapanda Folk which is one of the most established music festivals in Andalucía.

The folk festival takes place in the Anfiteatro Enrique Morente from the 27th (this coming Monday) running until the 2nd of August.
Over those seven days, it will bring together national-level artists and groups performing all kinds of music, such as folk, flamenco, Mediterranean music, and fusion projects.
The Provincial Delegate for Culture, Caracuel, who was also at the presentation, said, “Parapanda Folk is a meeting space for cultures, generations, and traditions. ”
The lineup features leading names such as Luar Na Lubre, Acetre, Javier Paxariño, La Banda Morisca, Lourdes Pastor, Omayra Arroyo, and the Climent & Ballarín Quinteto.
All concerts will start at 22:00h, with doors opening at 20:00h. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached.
Monday 27th: Íllora Municipal Workshop, Parapanda Suena and the Melaza.
Tuesday the 28th: The Banda de Música Villa de Íllora and La Coral San Rogelio, both local acts.
Wednesday the 29th: the focus will shift to flamenco with Flamenco a la sombra de Parapanda. This will bring the Compañía de Ramón del Paso, Morenito de Íllora and Mari Paz Lucena to the stage.
Thursday the 30th: fusion of different musical styles, with performances by Omayra Arroyo and the Climent y Ballarín Quinteto.
Friday the 31st: featuring concerts by renowned multi-instrumentalist, Javier Paxariño and the legendary Galician group Luar Na Lubre.
Saturday the 1st: Alicornio and Acetre; two well known names in traditional music from the Iberian Peninsula, will share the stage.
Sunday the 2nd: the festival will close with performances by La Banda Morisca and Lourdes Pastor.
