A Málaga law court handed down a stiff sentence against Father Fran, the priest for Vélez-Málaga for drugging four women in order to rape them and record his exploits.

The sentence was for 52 years imprisonment. Furthermore the Diócesis de Málaga is held responsible as subsidiary civil liability, and will have to pay the compensation to the victims totalling 400,000 euros, imposed upon the priest.
According to the court finding, the priest struck up a friendship with the women going back several years through his contact with them during his ministerial services.
For this reason the accompanied him on certain social occasions and had not problem staying over in his flat, as they considered him above taking advantage of them because of his condition of being a priest.
Their trust was evidently misplaced and were totally unaware that he had administered strong sleeping medication. The next day they had no recollection of what had happened to them, which allowed him to repeat his modus operandi.
It all came out after his recordings of his exploits were found on an external hard-drive in at the end of 2022 by one of his victims who later reported him to the police in August 2’23 after battling with herself over what to do.
She had be staying with him over Christmas 2022 and had his keys when she came across a hard-drive and connected it up to the TV because she wanted to watch a film…
