Fame at Last!

ONCE will dedicate its upcoming lottery draw on Tuesday the 23rd of June to  La Herradura, specifically, to its beaches

If you are not familiar with what ONCE, it is: The Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles, commonly known as the ONCE is a Spanish entity founded in 1938, to raise funds to provide services for the blind and people with serious visual impairment.

Their lottery ticket is known throughout Spain as the Cupón, and its sale is the main source of income for ONCE. The ticket sellers are blind or partially sighted, although over the last few years some have become available to people with other disabilities.

ONCE has dedicated a series to the Costa Tropical’s Blue-Flag beaches; hence La Herradura getting a cupon dedicated to it.

Five-million lottery tickets will feature a panoramic view of the beach, through which ONCE aims to highlight its environmental potential.

With the Playas con Bandera (Flagged Beaches) series, ONCE aims to showcase the two beaches in each province that have been most frequently recognised with the Blue Flag classification in recent years.

Playas con Bandera is a lottery ticket series that began in 2025 and will continue during the summer months in the following years.

So, whose will be the other Costa Tropical beach that will appear on an ONCE Cupón?
