Málaga Policía Local arrested a 35-year-old man after he fled a traffic stop and led officers on a dangerous 6-km chase through the city.
The man drove recklessly causing pedestrians to jump clear, all the time with a 4-year-old girl in the vehicle.

This incident began yesterday around 20.40h after the driver jumped a red light and was ordered to stop by police officers who had witnessed the act, but instead of doing so, he fled the scene.
Several police vehicles were involved before he was apprehended but not before he had jumped several other red lights, invading the oncoming lane, as well as using pedestrian-only streets, as he raced through the city centre.
He was finally forced to a halt when he came across two police cars blocking his way. At this point he jumped out and fled but was later found hiding under a parked car. Even then he resisted arrest.
In the meantime, officers had found two terrified passengers in the van, as well as a child bawling her eyes out, as can be expected. The father of the child was in the front passenger’s seat and had repeatedly pleaded with the driver to stop and even tried to apply the handbrake but the driver had stopped him.
So why did he flee, endangering the life of not only the child but pedestrians and other drivers? He had no valid driving licence, having lost all the points on it.
Editorial comment: he should never be allowed to drive another vehicle again but no doubt he will be able to recover his licence at some later point.
