Pipes From Rules

The Chairman of the Mancomunidad, Rafael Caballero, went for a wander with the Mayor of Torrenueva Costa, Plácido Lara, to check out the work on renewing the town's filling pipeline from the reservoir.

Clear as mud, right? Basically, this pipeline supplies the entire municipality, so it’s quite important for the town. Chairman Caballero thought so and said, “This kind of task makes it possible to anticipate potential incidents and continue improving the quality and reliability of the service.”

He also pointed out how wonderful the mancomunidad was, given its drive “to renew infrastructures, optimise resources, and guarantee an efficient and secure supply.”

Anyway, the filling pipeline to Torrenueva Costa from Rules Reservoir comes via Puntalón in Motril. It will be the section running between Calle Yuca and Calle Pino, where 30 metres of 150-millimeter-diameter pipe will be replaced.

The Aguas y Servicios manager, Alejandro Jurado, said that the pipes will be made of ductile iron, which is apparently a more resistant and durable material than the current fiber-cement pipes that they will replace.

The work has a budget of  just over 14,500 euros plus IVA, jointly financed by funds allocated for the conservation and improvement of waterwork infrastructures and maintenance.

Editorial comment: now, if you felt that this was boring to read it, imagine how boring it was to have to write it. Spoilt wicked you lot are!
