The death of a pupil at Almuñécar's IES Al-Ándalus high school caused consternatonal amongst fellow pupils and the teaching staff.

Silvia H. F., who travelled from Motril each day to study there, had been studying 2nd-year Bachillerato de Artes (Arts Baccalaureate).

The school published a message on social media and their own webpage, stating: We find no words to fully express our sense of pain… …Silvia has left us unexpectedly leaving behind a vacuum, leaving us asking ourselve why is Life so unjust.”

Editorial comment: we trying to find information on how Sylvia’s death came about and will provide more information as soon as we have it.
