Overhead Flights Nuisance

Dear Martin,

The problem of planes flying at low altitude and circling over the Costa Tropical is worsening by the day.

Residents along the coast between Torrox and Almuñécar are increasingly disturbed by the constant engine noise overhead. It has become a persistent nuisance that is affecting the quality of life for many locals.

Could your magazine help bring wider attention to this issue so that more readers become aware of how many people are being affected?

It seems important that we come together in greater numbers to challenge what feels like a disregard for residents, particularly when commercial interests appear to be taking priority over the well-being of the community.

I would greatly appreciate your support in raising awareness of this situation.

Kind regards,

Frederic

Hi Bill, The two are only an example. If you are interested I can send you the 45 others from that day.

Since the last time you complained, I have been carefully listening for aircraft. I’m right on the coast, so I know we do get the odd helicopter and light aircraft passing over, but only a few and they are not a noise nuisance. There used to be one that did aero-batic practice over the bay and he was a joy to watch.

I notice from the Flight Radar 24 you enclosed that there are 2, yes 2 aircraft shown. That must be VERY inconvenient for you. Do you also find all the local mating sea-gulls too noisy? Or the kids on mopeds?

Much worse along the coast is the weekend and summer noise from the jet-skis.

Leroy Merlin sell little foam ear inserts to cut down the noise……

They can’t stop the JetSkis. Not much change in declaring the area a No-Fly zone.
