Salobreña will be hosting a Vespa Scooter meet on Sunday the 26th of this month on the Plaza Juan Carlos I (Town Hall Square).
This will be at 08.30h and then at 10.30h, participants will set off on their machines for several emblematic areas of the Costa Tropical after visiting Salobreña’s beach area. They should be returning to Salobreña between 12.30h and 13.00h.

Once they are back, they will be off up into the Old Town to visit the Castle for a guided tour. When that’s over, the scooters will be parked up on the Paseo Marítimo for the curious amongst us to have a good look over the classic machines.
The visit will conclude with a meal at one of the chiringuitos on the beach – we don’t know which.
The Councillor for Seguridad Ciudadana, Antonio Rodríguez, considers that these occasions are good for the town, not only as they inject a bit of social activity but also spread the word about Salobreña as a tourist destination.
As for the association which is organising the event, Club Vespa Salobreña, its representative says that they are very enthusiastic about the first meet of this kind and that response to the news of the event has been very positive.
They calculate that around 130 people will participate with their Vespa Scooters.
