Polopos Re-Plumbed

Polopos is going to get a spot of TLC this year, according to the Chairman of the Mancomunidad, who was visiting the village and giving one of the streets a good eyeballing.

Accompanied by Mayor Matías González, they went over details of the renovation work to the mains-water system and the sewage disposal one along Calle La Era with a budget of 38,145 euros.

The underground infrastructure is at least 45 years old and is on its last legs and suffering from leaks and other deficiencies.

Work will begin with uncovering the existing pipes and replacing the sewage pipes with 250mm PVC pipe and the mains water pipes with 90mm P.E., and then resurfacing the street once it is all in place.
