A group of bigwigs visited Rules Dam to see the recently installed hydro-electic installations, operated by Hidroeléctrica Cuerva.
The Secretary General for Energy, Manuel Larrasa Rodríguez, spoke of the “strategic role” of Rules Dam within the Andalusian energy system. “These installations are an example of how efficient water management can contribute to energy security, emission reduction, and the promotion of renewable energies in our country.”

The group had a good ogle at the layout in the generator-turbine room, as well as the control and monitoring systems.
Hidroeléctrica Cuerva SL received the go-ahead to set up the Rules Hydroelectric Power Plant on October the 13th, 2022, which would generate 4 MW. Then on November the 22nd of last year, they granted provisional, operating authorisation so that it could be tested.
