Narco RIBs Return

It appears that the drug runners behind the RIBs that have been appearing in La Herradura bay are doing so with impunity.

Yesterday morning, we received more graphics (both video & Photos) of yesterday’s La Herradura Incident, so we shall be including them within this article.

Three of these launches appeared off the Punta de La Mona’s Marina del Este around 10.30h yesterday, despite the sea state. See photo above.

These same conditions, the Guardia Civil say, prevents them from going out and intercepting them. They are maintaining surveillance on them, however.

According to local fishermen, these RIBs are finding shelter in an area known as the Ensenada del Berenguel, near Las Higueritas, which is where fishing boats take shelter themselves when it gets a bit rough as it is sheltered from the wind coming from the west; i.e., in the lee of the Punta.

Here are two videos taken on Wednesday by a reader.
