A pedestrian ended up needing medical attention at a hospital A&E in Granada after being attacked by an electric-scooter user.
This incident occurred last Saturday around 22.30h near the Base Aérea de Armilla. The victim, a 70-year-old man, was out on his habitual walk when he felt a scooter rider literally brush past him, which was being ridden by a man in his 30s.

The scooter rider didn’t stop and continued, only to stop further on to chat to somebody. As the elderly man passed him, he told him to be more careful and that was all and carried on walking.
Moments later, however, the scooter rider caught up with him again and hit him over the head with his helmet resulting in the victim collapsing onto the ground. Not content, the assailant reportedly then set about him with his fists.
Fortunately, other pedestirans and a driver intervened and stopped the younger man from carrying on his attack. The victim was taken to the A&E and after being patched up was sent home.
Following this, the victim reported the scooter rider to the Guardia Civil, who are trying to identify and locate the aggressor – there are CCTVs in the area where the attack took place so there is a good chance that they will be able to track him down.
