The search continues for Adrián, a man in his 20s from Zujaira (Pinos Puente), who went missing yesterday, after being swept away trying to cross a ford on his motorbike
Owing to the heavy rains, the Arroyo de la Cañada within the municipality of Íllora was swollen with storm water when he attempted to ride across a ford.

The bike was later found some 40 metres downstream from the ford but there was no sign of the young man.
The search involves the Granada Fire Department (including specialised river-rescue teams) and the Guardia Civil, which deployed the GREIM (Mountain Rescue), helicopters, and drones from the Pegaso unit.
At the time of writing (Sunday night), search efforts within the riverbed had been suspended shortly before 19.00h with darkness already fallen. The operation is scheduled to resume early this morning.
However, several Guardia Civil patrols remained on-site overnight for surveillance.
The Mayors of Pinos Puente and Íllora were present at the scene in support of the family, and residents from both towns had volunteered to assist in the search efforts.
Update: The body of Adrián was found around 02.30h this morning by a group of volunteers. Consequently, the Guardia Civil de Montaña (GREIM) went to the scene, approximately three kilometres further downstream to recovery his body. Apparently it was found trapped by a tree trunk not far from the hamlet of Obéilar.
