No Monday can be complete without an article on a weekend, mountain rescue on the Sierra Nevada.
Two young men, aged 19 and 20, had to be rescued after they reached a point in the Laguna de la Mosca part of Sierra Nevada and found that they could not continue, nor go back, so they called in for help around 14.30h on Saturday.

The Guardia Civil helicopter with a rescue team onboard was despatched and picked them up, flying them back to where the excursionists had parked their vehicle.
The Laguna de la Mosca is at the foot of Mulhacén, which is the highest peak in the Península Ibérica (i.e., mainland Spain & Portugal.
Editorial comment: Well, today is a public holiday so let’s see if the Guardia Civil mountain-rescue service is called out again.
