Officers belonging to the Policía Nacional arrested a 30-year-old man on the outskirts of Granada for urging people to carry out acts of vandalism against the Low Emissions Zone (ZBE) via social media.
He incited readers of his social-media account to commit illegal acts against street CCTV cameras and even block streets.
The man, who has more than 10,000 followers on his social-media account, suggested attacking the City Hall and blocking access to streets.
Describing himself as the ‘director of the operations’ he told his readers to have the courage to use force against the different police forces (Policía Nacional and Local), advising them to dress in black and cover their faces to make it more difficult for the police to identify them.
He was also charged with the crime of fomenting public disorder as well as the destruction of public property before being released and ordered to report before the judicial authority when instructed to do so.
These instructions were given to be carried out during an organised protest match, where he was identified. He already has over a dozen previous arrests under his belt.
