Walk Like An Egyptian…

You might not be able to fly to London, any sense, from Granada Airport, but you will soon be able to fly direct to Egypt from there.

Yes, why see Tower Bridge when you can see the Pyramids? But hang on; there’s a catch: it will only be one single flight, only on Sundays and it’s not just a flight but a package holiday.

Cinco Estrellas Club, a tour operator specialising in Middle Eastern destinations, has announced the launch of its new regional flight service to the land of the Pharaohs  for autumn 2026. There will be departures from 14 Spanish cities, including Granada.

So, from September the 6th to December the 13th, 2026, travellers will be able to fly to Egypt from 14 Spanish cities: Valladolid, Vigo, Badajoz, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, Granada, Pamplona, Santander, Vitoria, Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela, Zaragoza, León, and Burgos.

The flights from Granada will begin on November 8th, and from thence departing every Sunday and include a well-balanced itinerary that combines culture, history, and a Nile River cruise: three nights in Cairo, three nights cruising the Nile, and one night in Luxor, with a direct return flight from Luxor. Not bad for a blank weekend, eh?

The three available programs: Nile & Abu Simbel, Pharaonic Legends and Complete Egypt, allow you to discover the country’s main treasures and include the excursion to Abu Simbel by plane.

To celebrate this new operation, the tour operator is launching a promotional campaign with a 10% discount for bookings made between November the 24th (yesterday) and December the 31st, 2025, applicable to fly between September the 6th and December the 13, 2026. Prices start from €975, (*cough!*) with the discount already applied.
