The Salobreña branch of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) managed to raise an excellent amount of funds from their charity paella held last month during the Romería fiestas.
The entire proceeds from the sale of plates of paella, as well as refreshments at the bar, managed by the AECC, were donated to this organisation.
The total amount raised was 1,698 euros, which went to support cancer research and care programmes for patients and their families.
The Councillor for Fiestas publicly expressed his gratitude for “the Salobreña branch of the AECC’s great work and commitment, as well as its ongoing awareness-raising efforts through campaigns and events throughout the year.”
Credit also goes to the company in charge of setting up the tables and chairs and preparing the paella, whose contribution was essential to the successful event.
