The Councillor for Public Works & Maintenance, Francisco Rodríguez, announced that starting on Monday work would be carried out on the Paseo de Cotobro.
But fear not, as the work will be on the low wall running along it, and the pavement, rather than on the road surface, so traffic should not be too badly affected even though it will be reduced to one lane.

The work has a budget of 233,415 euros and comprises replacing 1,680 sq/m of paving and repairing 600 metres of the low wall separating the paseo from the beach below. It will also include 16 new street lamps using LED lighting.
Councillor Rodríguez explained that the lane closest to the beach will be closed to traffic between 08.00h and 18.00h with passing vehicles controlled by roadwork traffic lights which will alternate the flow.
Readers might remember that they were working up the paseo closer the Chinasol roundabout during the last legislature so they are picking up from the point where they left off.
