Body next to Old Granada Road

The body of a man in his early 50s was discovered on the roadside of the GR-323a, which is the old road that still connects the Costa Tropica to the city of Granada.

The body, which was lying next to a quad, was found where this road passes through the municipality of Vélez de Benaudalla.

The Guardia Civil said that all indications are that it was not the result of a road accident but of a natural death. The victim had pulled over on his quad and had apparently died on the spot.

The emergency coordination centre, 112, received a call Saturday afternoon around six o’oclock. The Guardia Civil and an ambulance with a doctor onboard were despatched and open their arrival the victim was pronounced dead.
