The Mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, has used social media to ask people not to use the breakwater under construction as a launch pad for diving into the sea.
Well, although she “asks” beachgoers not to do so from the breakwater, which is still under construction, she does make it clear that access to it is “strictly forbidden.” You can’t even walk out along it, let alone dive from it.

In fact, she made it completely clear that if somebody does, they will be fined.
“Let us enjoy the summer in safety using our common sense. Let us avoid unnecessary risks,” she said in the her social media post.
