The Town Hall reports that there were acts of vandalism over Easter weekend carried out on the sports facilities, Julio Martín Pérez.
Councillor for Sports, Plácido Leyva, said that on the night of Easter Sunday vandals smashed the windows of the entrance office, together with other acts of vandalism around town.
“Acts like these cause an important economic impact on the municipal coffers, thus for all residents of Salobreña, as well as depriving citizens of safe places for exercising,” said Councillor Leyva.
He went on to say that it was “incomprehensible that some individuals would cause damage to installations that are for the use and enjoyment of everybody.”
He said that the Policía Local were investigating the incident in order to identify the culprits.
