Maro Waterfall

The years of the drought seem distant thanks to this abundant rainfall, bringing to life hitherto dried up springs and even waterfalls.

This is the case of what is known as the Cascada Grande de Maro which falls 15 metres to the sea below off the Acantilados de Maro.

The other sight to see is the Nacimiento de Maro, which is about two kilometres as the crow flies from the waterfall over the cliff, which is pumping out water.

The cliff waterfall disappeared during 2022 and 2023 and made a meek appearance in 2024 but now, as you can make out from the photo, hopefully, it’s in full flow!
