There as been plenty of rain inland and on the coast, and plenty of snow up on Sierra Nevada, so much so that parked cars on the road up to, and within the Pradollano ski resort, are just curious mounds of snow.
In fact, it’s not a question of finding your keys, but of finding your car.

But Cetursa Remontes, which runs the slopes, isn’t having much luck because they lost a day because of strike action, then thad to shut the slopes down because of strong winds (120 kph gusts) and, even in the case of some areas, because of the threat of another avalanche – so far there have been two.
And then there remains the problem of actually reaching the ski resort by car if not prepared with snow chains of special tyres for snow. The A-395 access road requires the above from kilometre point 28 and upwards.
The same goes for the A-337 on the Puerto de la Ragua (mountain pass) which was closed to traffic between kilometres points 25 and 27, between Ferreira and La Calahorra yesterday.
But, in case we haven’t noticed, we’re still in winter, especially as the arctic front Konrad in blasting down through Spain with snowfall as low as 1,000 metres.
