Following a great upheaval in the city of Granada over possible rigging of Local Police selection, there has been a case on the Costa Tropical in Castell de Ferro.
It was on the 18th of January that the Policía Nacional carried out a search of the City Hall over allegations of examination rigging, the repercussions of which are still being felt, so much so that the shockwave rocked the nearby towns of Albolote and Algarinejo, as well as this coastal town.

The Mayor, Toñi Antequera, has decided to halt the selection process for vacancies: “The selection process has been suspended because of a complaint put before the Public-Prosecution Office, so we are pending this judicial proceeding,” read a Town Hall communiqué.
The Town Hall wanted to make it clear, however, saying that this situation in Gualchos-Castell de Ferro has no relation to what is happening “in other municipalities in the province,” clearly referring to Granada and the two above mentioned towns.
What is happening there has to do with exams that were held in December last year and according to Mayor Antequera, as soon as she heard about the complaint that had been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office, she immediately suspended the selection proces.
Returning to the city of Granada, there the Chief of Police handed in his resignation because of the scandal but even this does not appear to have relieved the pressure on the Mayor’s Office.
