Between the 3rd and 14th of March the informative campaign, entitled Salobreña con pedigrí will be in full swing with teams of ‘informers’ visiting different areas around the municipality to answer any questions that dog owners might have.

The said areas include, the dog parks, the Paseo de las Flores, the Parque de la Libertad, the Plaza Pablo Iglesias, the Paseo Marítimo, La Caleta and Lobres.
Whilst they are in these areas they will be handing out poo kits (whilst stocks last) to those who wish to have one. These kits include poo-bag dispensers and a water bottle for diluting canine urine.

No one wants to keep dodging dog poo in the streets, whether they are tourists or locals. We need to do what many other towns and cities in Spain have done and introduce fines for owners of dogs which leave their poo on the streets.” – Shiner
