Salobreña Town Hall has improved the lighting in the Parque de la Libertad area in the north of the town, below the N-340.

Residents in that area have long asked for adequate public lighting in order to increase safety and security, because in some parts of this area there just was not enough illumination with the original led lighting.

The Councillor for Urbanismo y Obras Públicas, Juan Gutiérrez, explained that they had changed the power of the lights to the equivalent of 100 watts around the perimetre of the park area.

Councillor Gutiérrez said that the new system was technologically efficient which translates into lower power consumption
