An elderly man was knocked down by a person riding an e-Scooter on a street in Zaragoza on Monday.

Besides the 81-year-old victim, another pedestrian was also involved in the same incident; his wife who is fortunately recovering from her injuries.

The couple were using a zebra crossing on the Paseo de la Independencia in Zaragoza. The crossing light was in green. Both pedestrians were rushed to the Hospital Miguel Servet, but the husband succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

The Policía Local belonging to the city of Zaragoza confirmed that the rider was uninjured, had been wearing a helmet and had the necessary vehicle insurance. He also gave a negative reading when breathalysed at the scene of the accident.
