The Christmas drone display in Motril went really well with the 120 drones changing formation and colours to draw nativity figures in the sky.
According to the Town Hall, there were over 10,000 spectators gathered in the Parque de los Pueblos de América above which the drones were flying. Obviously, there were many more people around town who could see it from their balconies and nearby.
There were ten different drone formations, with a Three-Kings crown and shooting stars, amongst them, as well as one based on Motril and another in honour of the victims of the Valencia floods, which was met with loud applause.
Mayor Luisa García Chamorro emphasised the importance of this kind of display for the Christmas festivities this year.
The whole display lasted ten minutes and unlike the traditional firework displays, was not traumatic for pets and people sensitive to loud noises.
