A man was injured after an accident early this morning on the A-7 motorway at Vélez de Benaudalla.

Three large trailers collided at around 7.25am. As a result of the accident, one of the drivers suffered a broken ankle and was taken to hospital.

The Ambulance Service, Guardia Civil and road maintenance workers were on the scene, working in the area to clear the road. The dual carriageway has been closed in both directions at kilometre 897 due to the amount of debris strewn across the road.
