We previously had not reported on the fire in La Caleta area of Salobreña when it happened, which took place during the same evening as the fire on wasteland in Motril.

The fire broke out a little before 23.00h on the 26th in the area of the Azucarera del Guadalfeo and the Policía Local, Guardia Civil and the Motril fire service were called out.

The fire was in an area of wild brush where there was also building-site rubble, next to a small holding, fortunately, however, the fire was soon dealt with. The fire is being investigated .

The wasteland fire in Motril was reported at 19.15h that same evening and then not long after it was put out, this second fire starts but over in Salobreña, which is too big of a coincidence, many will conclude for these fires to have both been accidental.
