The Guardia Civil arrested a man in his late 40s in Motril, suspected of forcing an entry into the wheelhouses of several fishing boats and stealing instruments and tools.

The incident took place on the 2nd of October in Motril Port, where the 48-year-old suspect allegedly broke off the padlocks to the wheelhouses and stole items inside worth a total of 500 euros.

The Fishermans Guild reported the theft before the Guardia Civil and handed over security-camera footage of the person whilst carrying out the burglary.

Thanks to this footage and further investigation by the Guardia Civil, officers were able to identify the allegedly culprit and carry out his arrest.
