The Sports Department of Almuñécar Town Hall has a walk arranged for this Sunday (20th) in the Alpujarra Granadina.

The walk, which should take about five hours, is from Cáñar to Lanjarón via the Barranco Las Parrillas, Las Quemadillas, Barranco Las Peñas, Vereda Los Hundideros, Barranco Cañuelo, Vereda del Cañuelo and Las Veredas, arriving in Lanjarón.

The Alpujarra this time of year, with all the colours of autumn, is spectacular. Five hours is a bit of a slog for many, but it’s not against the clock!

To put your name down, either pop along to the Muncipal Stadium (where the Department has its office) from between 09.00h and 14.00h and 17,00h to 22.00h. We will dig out the phone number a little later.
