On Sunday the 22nd last month nearly 600 people set out on a fund-raising walk from Nigüelas, called the Marcha Lenta.

There were three routes of varying lengths; The Red route, The Yellow Route and The Green Route.

The first ones to set out were the participants in The Red Route, which departed the Church Square at 09.00h that morning to cover a 13-km route.

Half an hour alter those in The Yellow Route set out to cover a 7-km route and finally at 11.30h the walkers in The Green Route set out to cover their 2-km route.

The municipal Banda de Música San Juan Bautista (Nigüelas-Lecrín) were there to greet the walkers on their return as well as performing after the meal.

There were several raffles of the items donated by the companies that sponsored the walks. The money taken will go to the Asociación Síndrome 22q 11.2 Andalucía.
