In the early hours of the 17th, the Almuñécar fire service was called out to an accident on one of the main throroughfares in town.
A driver, reportedly drunk, managed to tip his car over, obviously going too fast, on Calle Larache, which is the one that runs parallel with the Friday-Market square.
Fire personnel had to pull the driver, who had suffered no serious injuries, out through the boot of the car.
The Policía Local, the Guardia Civil, an ambulance, as well as the fire service, were despatched to the scene of the road accident.
This was the second such accident in Almuñécar within a week.
