The New access to Urb. Carmen del Mar in La Herradura should be completed before the month is out, if there are no unforeseen delays.
At the moment, they are putting in street lighting, underground infrastructure in general and rain drainage, now that the retaining wall has been completed.

This new access road is nearly 200 metres in length with a total width (including pavements) of nine metres.; in other words, similar to the urbanizacion’s main thoroughfare. It will connect Los Altos de Cármenes to the old N-340.
Calle Encina is the highest street within Los Altos de Cármenes and finished in a small roundabout, whereas it has now been extended up to the said loop in the old main road.
The project had a budget of 650.000 euros and is financed by the Town Hall coffers. Included in this was the transfer of protected flora and a modification to the HT overhead power lines.
