Fugitives Arrested in Motril

The Policía Nacional based in the city of Granada and Motril arrested 80-odd people with arrest warrants out on them during the month of July.

Some of them were cited to appear in court and had failed to do so, whilst other should have reported to prison to begin a jail term, but hadn’t either.

There were, in fact, a total of 91 pending arrests warrants but some of those arrested had more than one arrest warrant issued in their names.

The Policía Nacional had acted on a national and international level; the vast majority were Spaniards. Of the arrests, 65 were carried out in the city of Granada, 19 in Motril, one of whom was a foreigner.
