The Councillor for Culture at the Almuñécar Town Hall, Alberto García Gilabert, together with Pepe Luis Habichuela and Flamenco-festival organiser, Antonio de la Flor, jointly announced an upcoming Flamenco festival.
Chirimoya Sound, as the festival is known, will take place in the Parque Majuelo between the 19th and 21st of this month, bringing three big names in the Flamenco world to Almuñécar.
The festival programme begins on the 19th with a performance by Intimo, a trio with Lole Montoya, Juan Carmona and Pepe Luis Habichuela.
On Saturday, the 20th, there will be a concert by Canelita, who will perform new numbers from the 2024 tour.
Finally, the Flamenco festival will conclude on Sunday with El Yiyo performing his show, Flamenco Puro.
Entrance tickets for the festival can be found at chirimoyasound.com, as well as several other ticket-sale points such as Locuras Hombre on Calle Trinidad, Viajes Azulmarino on Calle Mariana Pineda 4, Librería Contreras on Calle Real 10, Gastrobar De la Flor on Avenida Europa 23 and at the Casa de La Cultura.
