The Asociación de Caballistas de Salobreña held a horse-riding event, with the collaboration of the Town Hall, that went pretty well.

It was held on the 21st of April in the Municipal Sport Centre with many members of all ages belonging to the said association participating in the multiple horse-related events.

Besides the horse-riding exhibitions there was also a fun horseback ring race as well as lots of local dishes (none of which contained horses). There was even a local group providing live music.

The Councillor for Fiestas gave the event top marks as it promotes citizen participation and the implication of different clubs and associations.

“We support these little fiestas that bring people together, creating a family atmosphere, bringing something as traditional as the horse-riding world to the people of Salobreña,” explained the said councillor, Nelson Ligero.
