Two people were killed when an articulated lorry overturned on the A-92G where it passes through the municipality of Santa Fe.

This occurred at 08.00h yesterday morning near kilometre point zero on the said autovía when for unknown reasons the lorry tipped over on a curve and plummeted down an embankment, shedding its load of onions

The fire service were soon at the scene and worked to free the two occupants in the lorry cab, however both of them had died in the accident.

The Guardia Civil, who were called out to assist and who inspected the scene, found a cargo of hashish hidden amongst the onions.
