If you're an active person, you'll never get bored in El Valle de Lecrín as it has loads of activities such as sports and walks.

Whether you want to throw yourself off a bridge on a long piece of elasticated rope (hopefully, not too long) or enjoy a stroll along Río Dúrcal, there’s something for you!

For this reason, Padul, is holding a rural tourism event on the18th/19th of April with the main objective of spreading the word about what the comarca has to offer in the way of ‘active tourism.’

Of course, this also requires that local businesses are ready to meet the demand so Padul Town Hall wants to make sure that they have ‘the tool’ for the job.

So over the days of the event, they will be striving to create a union between the different business sectors and official administrations, putting emphasis on creating associations, like the Asociación de Turismo del Valle de Lecrín.

One of the projects created to promote rural tourism was the hiking routes around the Béznar Reservoir. Another idea is to analyse new digital tools for marketing. But above all, this event; the third of its kind, was to encourage debate and cooperation between the private tourism sector and public administrations
