The Junta de Andalucía has allocated 97,000 euros for repair works along the Vado del Río de la Toba in Los Guájares caused by recent floods.

Junta bigwig, Luis recalls, accompanied the Mayor of Los Guájares, Antonio Mancilla, on a visit to the area, where he promised an imminent start to the work to put right the damage caused to public property by the flood.

The Junta delegate also took the opportunity to visit the three villages belonging to Los Guájares: Guájar Faragüit, Guájar Alto and Guájar Fondón, and to see the renovation work carried out on the Town Hall, thanks to a grant last year for 27,950 euros.

In fact, the municipality received thanks to regional funding 23,624 euros for building work on the Interpretation Center for Architectural Heritage and another 21,619 euros on road improvements. This provided temporary employment for 78 locals.
