The body of the man from Láchar who had gone missing was found in the water near the Peñon in Salobreña.
The body of 57-year-old, Manuel López Lozano, was discovered floating off the said rock. He had been reported missing on Wednesday.
Manuel used to run the Cafetería Los Arcos in Láchar, which is in the Vega de Granada, near Santa Fé.
According to the Mayor, Pedro Sánchez, Manuel was off work on Wednesday afternoon but the family lost track of his whereabouts later that day. The search for him narrowed down on Thursday when his car was discovered parked in Salobreña.
The Mayor points out that he was a “well-loved and appreciated” resident of Láchar. The Guardia Civil are handling the investigation into the circumstances of his death

Thanks for pointing that out, Martin. I’m glad to see they are now called the Guardia Civil.????
Melanie: they are a 70’s Spanish, rock band contemporaneous with the British band, the Polize, whose lead singer was known as The Stung.
