Good Music in Salobreña Tonight

The Bluemoons duet, formed by Juanma Alaminos and Ian Arthur Newman, will be performing this evening in Salobreña.

SAL Juanma Alaminos in ConcertThe concert is part of the Salobreña en Clave de Sol music programme and will begin at 20.00h in the Auditorio de Salobreña; i.e., next to the Town Hall.

If you buy your tickets at the Casa de la Cultura, before the gig; the price is seven euros. However, at the door they will be nine euros.

So what type of music can you expect? Well they will include numbers by Van Morrison, Alan Parson, Coldplay and Police, amongst others, so there’s a good choice of music.

Ian, an accomplished keyboard and guitar player, is from London and has been here for ten years, and presently living in Almuñécar with his family of three kids. Juanma and Ian, besides doing British pop & blues, also play numbers by such classic Spanish artists as Joaquín Sabina (who has brilliant lyrics)

Editorial comment: I’ve known Juanma for many years and he is a  very good musician. In fact, Juanma is the essence of the Albert Hammond’s Free Electric Band because he gave up his career as a judge to become a musician.
