Three Arrests in Six Months

The Policía Nacional in Granada have arrested the same female driver three times for the same offence in the last six months.

SPN Nacional Police CarThe arrested driver was stopped each time for not having a valid driving licence, nor a valid ITV, nor a valid car insurance. She possessed, in short, not a sausage.

Now, as you might have guessed this was no Mother Theresa but rather a known criminal with previous arrests for petty theft, theft and threatening behaviour. Nor should it come as a surprise that she comes from the Dodge City part of Granada; i.e. Districto Norte.

Her last run in with the police, void of any obligatory driving documents, was on the 10th of January on Calle Rodrigo de Triana, around half two that morning. She was not, therefore, on her way to pick up the kids from school or to a hairdresser appointment.

Now the reason that they stopped her was not on the suspicion of her being illegally driving a vehicle, but because she was not wearing a seatbelt. This is technically known as “pushing your luck,” given her familiarity with the police under unfavourable circumstances.

The car was immobilised and she was whisked off to the police holding cells at the Policía Nacional HQ, pending an appearance before an unsurprised judge.

Attitudes of some people will never be changed. The same types that dump rubbish wherever they want. Drive with no cares. Ignore the norms of society.
They do not care. Unless hit in the pocket.
