Out of respect for the recent death of a teenage girl in the village, the Town Hall cancelled the Three Kings parade last Friday.

Sarah Matilda Sitniewski, aged only 17, passed away on Saturday the 30th of December, as a consequence of an illness.

“We join the family and friends in these painful and sad times,” read the communiqué from the Town Hall announcing the cancellation of the planned parade.

A Mass church service in the Jete church was held for her on the 4th of January.
