A Málaga law court in Vélez-Málaga ordered a German citizen to be remanded in custody in the provincial prison.
The said young man allegedly tried to kill his mother last Saturday in Benajarafe.
Consequently, 22-year-old J.J.F. will face charges of attempted murder.
The incident took place in the afternoon (16.00h) of that Saturday, which is when the emergency call centre, 112, received a call from a badly injured woman, within the Urbanización Río Adelfas, on Calle Pata Seca.
When officers belonging to the Policía Nacional arrived, they found the 61-year-old mother who told them she had been attacked by her son with a knife, which was still lodged in her back.
The paramedics onboard the ambulance that was also despatched first stabilised her condition before rushing her to the Hospital Regional de Málaga with this serious injury. She continues to be hospitalised and her condition is described as “reserved.”
Her son was soon located nearby and did not resist arrest. This German family had been spending a holiday in a rented dwelling in this urbanización.
