The Club de Aeromodelismo de la Costa Tropical, which is based on Playa Punta del Río in Salobreña, held their yearly Chirimoya Air Meeting last weekend.

Now, this is national level meet with around 50 participants and their radio-controlled aircraft.

Apart from the chance to take their model aircraft for a spin… or barrel roll, for that matter, they also had other activities, including nosh and live music.

Club Chairman, Arsenio Solana, who was interviewed by Radio Salobreña, explained  that the Salobreña meet was the  last one of the year and that participants had the chance to visit the castle, Ron Montero distillery and the Museo del Azúcar in Motril.
