Emergency Landing

An airliner on a flight between Santiago de Compostela (Galicia) and Málaga had to make an emergency landing for medical reasons.

AND Malaga Airport 400x250The Vueling aircraft, which had taken off from Compostela at 20.00h, made this unscheduled landing because a child passenger had been suffering convulsions during the flight on Tuesday.

The captain radioed Valladolid Airport saying that he would have to put down there and requested an ambulance to meet them on the runway. Permission was granted and it landed at 20.41h.

By 21.55h that same evening the aircraft took off again heading for its original destination; Málaga, where it landed at 22.51h.

The boy was taken to Valladolid’s general hospital where he made a full recovery.
