People often get stopped, breathalysed and found to be over the limit; most are drivers, but not always: one was on an electric scooter.
It was around 04.30h one weekend morning when the municipal police saw a wobbly man on an electric scooter about to go up a ramp onto the autovia (Granada bypass) at the Neptuno junction.
They intercepted him and right away noticed that he was “liquified,” so they breathalysed him and found that he had 0.53 mg/l of alcohol in his breath.
They impounded his scooter and issued him with a fine for drink driving. Of course, he won’t loose any points from his licence, as he didn’t have one, nor needed one to ride an electric scooter.
