There was a bit of a wobble down on the Costa Tropical owing to a minor earth tremor off the coast.

According to the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN) the seismic movement occurred at 10.31h local time yesterday, registering 2.7 in magnitude, due south of Motril in the Mar de Alborán,

Nobody was hurt nor was there any damage to buildings, therefore all rumours claiming that religious zealots starting lynching nonbelievers for allegedly upsetting their god… are unfounded.

The IGN webpage put the epicentre at only one kilometre in depth with people reporting having felt it in El Romeral (Gualchos-Castell de Ferro) Lobres (Salobreña) Torrecuevas (Almuñécar) and Motril. However, the emergency call centre, 112 received not one call about it; just the IGN.
